Share this on WhatsApp Christmas, the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The day we embody much of what Christ stood for. We love, we care, we give, we laugh and we celebrate. Some of us hardly spend valuable family time together, so Christmas is a special day simply due to that. For others, it’s the one day of the year they watch Eastenders lol. I personally have been doing an Eastenders Marathon for the last few days. Unfortunately, many don’t have anyone to observe Christmas with. Many people both on our doorsteps and in far away lands spend Christmas alone. Every year, many of my friends assist charities by supporting their work for their specific causes. Truth is I think we all have a responsibility to do something. The beauty is you don’t even have to leave your house. One Big Family Romans 12:5 says “so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” The passage above means we all belong to one great family, regardless of race and nationality. A simple prayer or thought for our family in Christ is a good place to start for doing your bit for those who are less fortunate. It may not seem like a lot, buts its a good place to start. Pray for our brothers, sisters and children in Syria, Congo, Somalia, Papua New Guinea, the UK or wherever they may be. Just a small prayer asking God to bless or comfort them will do. Good starting point Christmas is a wonderful time to forgive and mend broken relationships. As it reaches the close of the year we tend to reflect the previous 12 months. Holding grudges is draining and exhausting mentally. Put pride to one side if you need to. Pull down whatever barriers you have. Life is too short to live with regrets and negative emotion. Hope you’ve enjoyed your day and remembered the reason for the season Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Share on Skype (Opens in new window) Share this on WhatsApp
